Toucan Leads

Introduction

This guide provides an overview of creating and managing Leads via Toucan Sales Analytics. It also explains the method of configuring the data values for Lead Source and Status.

Lead Creation

  1. On the TSA Menu, click the ‘Leads’ option to navigate to the Leads feature.

  2. When the Leads screen appears, click the ‘New Lead’ icon located to the right of the orange header.

  3. You will be presented with a screen to provide the Lead company, address, and contact details. The ‘Lead’ section includes a number of drop-down fields that contain data values consistent with your customer data. In addition to this, there are ‘Lead Status’ and ‘Lead Source’ fields you need to assign to each new lead; the values in these drop-down fields are configurable – see here. Click save once you have completed populating the Lead information.

Lead Management

  1. Once you’ve created a Lead/Leads, you can manage them via the Leads screen. The table will display all Leads in TSA, and the filter options can be used to narrow the results on display. To review a Lead, click on the company name.

  1. Once the Lead record has loaded, there are a number of actions you can undertake which are consistent with Customer records such as review/edit their summary information, create/review notes and interactions, navigate to the map of your Leads, and delete the Lead should you have cause.

Lead Source and Status Data Values

  1. When creating Leads, you need to specify both the Source and Status of the Lead. The values for both of these fields are configurable within TSA. To edit the data values, on the TSA Menu, click the ‘Administration’ option, followed by the ‘Lookup Tables’ option.

  2. On the ‘Lookup Tables’ screen, from the drop-down select the data field you wish to configure. If you wish to add a data value, click ‘New’.

  3. A field will be displayed where you can type a new data value in to describe the attribute. Once you have populated the field, click the ‘Save Changes’ icon. This will now allow you to assign the new value to Leads you create/edit. You can also delete existing data values by clicking ‘Delete’ next to the value in the table.
